Racial Justice Discussion Group

Why should we watch Blackkklansman vs. Green Book? (But watch them both anyway!)

Inspired by racial justice book and discussion groups started in many communities, we’re riffing on that model using alternative texts, including podcasts, film, video and more. We’ll dive deep to explore the lingering impact of slavery on racism today in how we tell the narratives of people of color vs. what really happened and how those narratives get lost.

We will welcome special guests, including founders of Adat Shalom’s Racial Justice Discussion Group, to learn how they got started in 2017 and how their work continues today.
