The Environment as a Bridge between Israelis and Palestinians (Live Beit Midrash)

Recon Connect: Live connection with Reconstructionist around the world.

Monday, July 20, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. EDT

In this #ReconConnect Live Beit Midrash Rabbi Michael M. Cohen (founding faculty member of Arava Institute for Environmental Studies & Bennington College’s instructor in Conflict Resolution, the Bible, and the Environment) presents “The Environment as a Bridge between Israelis and Palestinians.”

Since 1996, the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies (www.arava.org) has brought together Israeli, Palestinian, Jordanian, Moroccan, and international students to be trained as environmental leaders. We will explore the lessons the Institute can offer toward confronting the conflict while creating long term personal and professional relationships between individuals in the region.
