Nir Braudo is the Executive Director of BINA: The Jewish Movement for Social Change. He joined BINA in 2006 and has held several positions including Deputy Director, Strategic partnerships and Head of the Secular Yeshiva in Tel Aviv. Born in Kiryat Ono, Israel, Nir served as an officer in the IDF Nahal Brigade and as a major in the reserves. Nir holds a BA in Talmud from Tel Aviv University and an MA in Public Policy from the Executive Management program of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Nir spent three years in San Francisco, USA where he served as director of WZO-Diaspora activities in North America. In North America, Nir also led Jewish community programming at the ICC in Silicon Valley and is among the founders of “Mishelanu”, a Jewish identity program for second-generation Israelis in the United States.
In addition to being a member of the founding committee of the Secular Yeshiva in Tel Aviv, he founded the Be’er Sheva branch of BINA and was the founding director of BINA’s Social Action program (BINA BaShchuna) in Be’er Sheva and Tel Aviv. Nir was also integral to the opening of the first international Beit BINA in India.
Nir has been a regular guest on Israel’s Ynet, Channel 10, and Channel 2’s special segments on Jewish culture and weekly Torah portion. He is also the presenter of BINA’s popular podcast ‘Journey into Talmudic Tales’.
Nir lives in Ramat Gan with his wife, Noa, and their two sons, Shaul and Itamar.
