Formed over 45 years ago as an independent congregation, Columbia Jewish Congregation (CJC) is now affiliated with the Reconstructionist movement. We emphasize diversity, inclusiveness and the warmth of community. We are the center of Jewish life for over 250 households. Our clergy, lay leaders and members are dedicated to creating an environment where Judaism can flourish. Our congregation and our liturgy are fully egalitarian.
CJC is a warm, caring congregation open to all, regardless of your level of Jewish knowledge and observance. We welcome interfaith families and try to provide a supportive and inviting community. Regardless of your personal status or beliefs, we offer many opportunities for you to become involved in some aspect of congregational life.
Wherever you are in your journey, you are welcome here!
