Transgender Day of Remembrance

Home » Transgender Day of Remembrance

Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed annually on November 20. For nearly 30 years, this day has been dedicated to honoring the memory of transgender individuals whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. The day also spotlights the ongoing efforts to achieve full trans equality and justice, serving as a reminder that we are all created in the image of God. Reconstructing Judaism, which remains a Jewish communal leader in LGTBQ inclusion, has gathered these resources to help you, and your community mark this somber day in a meaningful way suffused with Jewish values.
