“Remember: Joy is not merely incidental to your spiritual quest. It is vital.” – Reb Nachman
In times of personal and collective darkness, how do you maintain inspiration and revive your creative spirit? One thing is clear: you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Join poet and painter Cathleen Cohen, alongside Ritualwell’s Gabrielle Kaplan-Mayer, an essayist and memoirist, to delve into Jewish texts, poetry, and creative exercises. Together, they will guide you in exploring ways to rediscover joy and rejuvenate your creative passion in honor of Hanukkah, helping you enter the winter season with a sense of inner light. Whether you’re new to creative expression or an experienced writer or artist, this workshop presents a chance to uncover new creative techniques and pathways that will strengthen meaningful connections in your life and inspire joy as a spiritual practice.

Resetting the Table, Strengthening our Communities
Winter-Spring 2026 | Learn more and apply here
Since October 7, 2023, many Jewish communities have faced strain and division. The workshops—led by Resetting the Table and the Thriving Communities team—offer leaders practical tools to foster dialogue, empathy, and understanding. Each participating congregation will bring a small leadership team—rabbi, board member, and a lay leader/community member. Participants will leave with ready-to-use tools and exercises to bring back to their congregations.
Thanks to a generous donor we are pleased to offer this program at a subsidized rate of $750 per congregation. Includes 10 hours of workshops and coaching. Limited to 8 congregations. Additional cohorts to follow.
Fundraising Without Fear: Building Generosity, Community and Spirit with Rabbi Maurice Harris
Mondays, December 1, 8, 15 and January 5, 12, 26 8:00 – 9:30 pm ET | Register Here
Fundraising can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to. In this six-session course based on Rabbi Maurice Harris’s forthcoming Guide to Fundraising for Reconstructionist Congregations, you’ll learn how raising money can also build relationships, deepen spiritual life, and strengthen your community.
Registration is open exclusively to Reconstructionist-affiliated congregations at a discounted rate. For $360, each congregation receives five seats, plus early access to the Guide and accompanying materials. Congregations may also sign up for one-on-one consultation time with Rabbi Harris before the Guide is published. We encourage you to register and use all five seats, inviting a mix of staff and lay leaders to maximize collaboration.
