Thriving Communities Associate, Reconstructing Judaism

Jacob Weinberg joined the Thriving Communities department in February of 2018. As an Associate for Thriving Communities, he works as part of the team that provides programs and services in partnership with affiliated congregations and havurot across the movement. His work includes managing annual dues and affiliation, developing and supporting online and in-person gatherings, maintaining records, supporting avenues for electronic communications, and creating, gathering, and sharing resources.

Prior to his work at Reconstructing Judaism, Jacob held several roles in the school districts of Philadelphia and Washington D.C. This included classroom teaching, afterschool program development, community arts and service, assessment and intervention, and social-emotional development programs.

Jacob earned his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting and Critical Theory from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD in 2013. He maintains an active studio practice and has shown paintings and electronic media works in Philadelphia and Baltimore. His work is held in several private collections across the United States.
