Network for Network Builders: Second Session

In our networks, how do we live our espoused values?

In our second Network for Network Builders session, participants drew on resources from a workshop led by Dr. Rob Weinberg and a guided imagery exercise to craft answers to the question: how can we create value-based networks? How can we take steps so those values emerge clearly to staff members or network participants? We first identified values that drive our work, including “authentic relationship building,” “curiosity,” “deliberate care,” and “valuing expertise.” We then identified possible strategies to develop the integration of these values into network-weaving, including developing more effective feedback methods, ensuring that participants feel personally welcomed, and encouraging a practice of intentionally setting group norms to guide the work.
